Over one thousand people coming from all over the world met in Copenhagen during the annual ISWA (International Solid Waste Association) convention named “Waste Site Stories” that ended Thursday 5th October.
Non-government associations, manufacturers, government representatives, and international experts, shared various methodologies, solutions and experiences in management of waste collection and disposal.
Iveco, always involved in this field with vehicles for waste collection with low environmental impact, was the event’s main sponsor together with the Turin Municipal Waste Management Agency (Amiat).
The various sessions focused upon several topics, among which: the need for an international waste collection and disposal standard, the most innovative technologies and systems in the field, environmental impact and waste management with respect to the climate change.
The cooperation with ISWA testifies Iveco commitment not only for the environment sustainability but also for the activity of the Association in the developing countries.

ISWA
The International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) is an international, independent, non-government, non-profit association, established in 1972 from merging of other international organizations. ISWA was founded by Italian and European members aiming at gathering technicians, public bodies and public and private companies of the waste management sector. ISWA represents more than 1100 members in more than 70 countries all over the world and today it is the only association, spread all over the world, wants to spread a sustainable and professional management of waste.
