QUALITAL-IVECO Master’s degrees awarded
“Producing quality means effectively communicating what is required to identify problems and solve them before they can impact the end customer”. This sums up the spirit behind the “QUALITAL – IVECO Master’s degree in Management Systems for Organizations”, designed by Iveco in collaboration with the Pisa University Quality and Innovation Engineering University Consortium.
The University Consortium is the Italian leader in the field of quality and trains experts in effective organization management systems, which play a strategic role in the control of company processes.
On Friday, the ceremony held at Iveco’s Multi-Function Centre during which the students were awarded degrees by the Iveco Managing Director Paolo Monferino and Prof. Mirandola from the University of Pisa officially closed the sixteenth edition of the Master’s degree course. This course lasted for 12 months and was divided into two phases: a theoretical phase, comprising 11 training modules on the topics covered by the Master’s degree course, and a practical phase, which culminated in the presentation of the final Project Work done by 13 candidates coming from several different Iveco plants.
For the very first time, the QUALITAL (Quality-Italy) Master’s degree was entirely organized by Iveco and held on the company’s premises.
In his concluding speech, Ing. Monferino underlined how only rigour and discipline make it possible to achieve continuous quality improvement, which is essential for keeping Iveco stably among the sector leaders. “Iveco is a healthy company that is going through a favourable business period” added Paolo Monferino. However, only “rigour and discipline ensure that you stay ahead of the others, to avoid paying a high price in terms of competitiveness”.
From next year on, the Master’s degree will be called QUINN (QUality and INNovation), thereby underlining the crucial role played by innovation alongside quality. The QUINN degree course will continue to represent not only the “quality culture driver” in Italy but also a reference for research, training, experimentation and spread of know-how and innovative tools designed to support organizations.
