New Zealand’s rugby team beat Canada with a score of 64 to 13 in the last match of the Iveco Series, played today at the Waikato Stadium in Hamilton, New Zealand, which was sold out for the event.
With this success the All Blacks have gained another trophy, the Trakker Cup, offered by Iveco to the winner of today’s match. The victory against Canada, which follows last week’s wins against France, shows that the New Zealand squad has already made excellent progress in its preparation for the upcoming World Cup in France.
For the moment, the All Blacks are the natural candidates as favourites in the Three-Nations tournament, in which New Zealand’s opponents are the Australian and South African teams, and which they have already won seven times.
Today’s match in Hamilton also marked the end of Iveco’s first experience in world-class rugby. “We are very happy about this event”, said Stefano Sterpone, Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing at Iveco, “particularly because in New Zealand we were given a marvellous reception.
