Specific kits are normally created when a customer requests only one or more parts of a vehicle assembly, or just a single part (e.g. fuel tank) because he does not have the expertise to produce it locally, while the other components of the assembly are manufactured in the customer’s plant or bought from other local suppliers.
Occasionally, to meet a customer’s requests, Iveco has to create a specific kit both for the loose parts (screws, bolts, tubes) and for the options (e.g. PTO, etc.) because the customer has decided to lighten the part but still needs small parts or supports to assemble it.
