New scrappage scheme sees IVECO and TfL partner to reduce emissions and the cost of eLCV ownership
A new Transport for London (TfL) scrappage scheme and IVECO contribution could help eDAILY customers save up to £8,500 on a new vehicle. London’s mission for cleaner air has seen average CO2 emissions drop significantly in the UK’s capital, and now a new scheme from Transport for London aims to help IVECO eDAILY customers transition from diesel to a zero-emissions vehicle. A recently announced £110 million TfL fund enables owners of 3.5 tonne diesel vans that are Euro 5 and below to scrap them in exchange for a £7,500 contribution towards an electric model. IVECO will then also contribute an additional £1,000 meaning that new eDAILY customers can receive £8,500 off the retail price of the class-leading model.

IVECO S-WAY supports the Platinum Jubilee Pageant’s sustainability ambitions
IVECO S-WAY supports the Platinum Jubilee Pageant’s sustainability ambitions IVECO S-WAY tractor units used to pull celebratory floats down the Mall in London for the stunning Platinum Jubilee Pageant Basildon, 6th June, 2022 IVECO was honoured to support the Platinum Jubilee Pageant’s sustainability initiatives yesterday in London, in association with specialist event haulier, KB Event. IVECO supplied three of its IVECO S-WAY tractor units, to pull three of the Pageant’s floats, of which two vehicles were CNG-powered (Compressed Natural Gas), which provided a sustainable approach to the event. The two bio-methane fuelled IVECO S-WAYs (AS440S46TP natural gas) pulled the ‘70s Northern Soul Trailer and the Platinum Pals float featuring beloved children’s characters over the years including Postman Pat, Sooty & Sweep, Bill & Ben, Bagpuss, Paddington Bear, Danger Mouse, and Wallace & Gromit. The third IVECO S-WAY tractor unit (AS440S49TX/P) pulled the ‘80s Breakdance float. The Platinum Jubilee Pageant had all the excitement and spectacle of an international parade and carnival with street arts, theatre, music, circus, carnival and costume to celebrate The Queen’s duty, love of the natural world and dedication to the Commonwealth. “When we were approached by KB Event to provide tractor units to pull the spectacular floats in the Platinum Jubilee Pageant we were delighted to help. Our IVECO S-WAY Natural Gas vehicles powered by bio-CNG also contributed to reduced emissions of the parade,” said Vincenzo Nicolo’, Business Director, IVECO UK & ROI. Richard Burnett, Managing Director of KB Events added: “KB Event are leading the way with sustainable solutions to events and tours - currently utilising non palm-oil HVO Biofuel on a number of our contracts - as well as continually exploring new alternatives as they come onto the market. The IVECO S-WAY vehicles were a key ingredient to helping make the Platinum Jubilee Pageant an environmentally friendly event success.” The IVECO S-WAY Natural Gas line-up remains a leader in alternative fuels technology for heavy trucks, tried, tested and ready to significantly reduce fleet emissions now with either compressed or liquified Biomethane. Not only is it beneficial for the environment by emitting up to 95% less C02, but the vehicles also emit up to 50% less noise than the equivalent diesel and offer a great driving experience for drivers too.
