Sustainability and innovation

Sustainability is the priority for our sector and IVECO is committed to tracing the path towards the decarbonisation of transport.

To guide the path of change, a precise roadmap has been defined, which will see IVECO move towards zero emissions by 2040.
This thanks to a multi-energy approach ranging from biomethane, a ready-to-use solution for all ranges, able to achieve carbon-negative emissions, to electric battery for short- and medium-range missions, up to the electric fuel cells for the complete decarbonisation of long-distance transport and for the heaviest missions, without neglecting the efficiency of consumption.
Our commitment is to offer increasingly advanced and environmentally friendly products for all ranges and missions, thus contributing, together with our partners, suppliers and customers, to the construction of a new green ecosystem.

Alternative energies represent for IVECO the more important bet for the future of the road haulage

Our approach to Sustainability

  • IVECO and Plus partnership for autonomous driving

True to it committment for a safer and more sustainable future, IVECO is always heading to next, leveraging on key technologies and the synergies coming from strategic partnerships.
We signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Plus, a leading global autonomous trucking company, to jointly develop autonomous trucks by integrating the Plus Drive cutting-edge full-stack autonomous driving system into IVECO’s latest-generation S-WAY heavy-duty truck.
The joint of IVECO’s expertise in heavy-duty truck development, manufacturing, and sales with Plus’s autonomous driving technology will deliver quickly quickly, across Europe and other geographies,  the next generation of innovation-driven, safety-enhanced and sustainable transport solutions.
