IVECO Trucks Australia announce executive appointments
With the continued focus on an enhanced experience for their customers, IVECO Trucks Australia has announced the promotion of James Johnson, to the position of National Manager of Fleet, while appointing Barry Woods to the role of Head of Customer Services, effective immediately.
Mr Johnson previously held the role of National Manager - Retail and Fleet Sales LCV at IVECO, and has over 27 years of experience in the commercial vehicle and automotive sectors with several leading brands.
The new role sees him take responsibility for the fleet sales function across the entire IVECO portfolio, ranging from Light Vans and Cab Chassis, through to 90t GCM B-Double prime movers. Mr Johnson’s remit will also see him work across the company’s off-road ranges including Daily and Eurocargo 4x4 products as well as the heavy-duty T-Way 4x4, 6x6, 8x4 and 8x8 product lines.
Another experienced industry executive, Mr Woods, previously occupied the role of Dealer Principal of IVECO New Zealand, a position he held for five years, and which saw him oversee all aspects of IVECO sales, service, parts support and customer service in that country.
In commenting on the recent appointments, IVECO Trucks Australia Managing Director, Glen Dyer, said he looked forward to seeing the positive effect the pair would make to IVECO's Australian operations, with a specific, ongoing focus on brand and customer experience.
"Since beginning with us in 2024, James has had a positive impact on our team and customers thanks to his strong understanding and passion for the fleet segment," Mr Dyer said.
"His combination of leadership skills, strategic thinking and deep commitment to driving sales growth and customer satisfaction, makes him a fantastic advocate of the IVECO brand."
Recognising the importance that aftersales plays in ensuring IVECO owners enjoy a rewarding and productive ownership experience, Mr Dyer said Barry Woods’ holistic industry background placed him well to meet the challenges and opportunities of the critical Head of Customer Services role.
"Barry brings a wealth of leadership experience along with strong expertise on customer quality and experience, making him an ideal fit to guide the aftersales team and to drive continuity while further developing efficiencies across our parts and service operations," Mr Dyer said.
Both appointments are well timed with IVECO in the midst of an exciting new product rollout phase that has seen the recent launch of its latest medium duty Eurocargo range and new Daily van and cab chassis product lines with more to follow.
