New Stralis

The TCO2 Champion

The New Stralis raises the stakes on profitability and sustainability in every mission from regional, urban and light construction operations to long-haul transport.

The all-new driveline, cutting edge technologies and features, and new innovative services dramatically increase efficiency and reliability while minimizing emissions, making the New Stralis a Total Cost of Ownership champion and a CO2 champion in every mission.

Iveco launches the New Stralis, which introduces a completely new driveline and, with the best reliability and efficiency, delivers leading edge TCO and CO2 reduction. The three-vehicle range was developed around Customer missions and meets all the requirements of the on-road heavy transportation sector.

The New Stralis is the result of an important investment in product development, testing and production facilities and methods. The New Stralis will fully benefit from the high quality manufacturing technologies and processes at the Madrid plant, which is dedicated to this range, and the Valladolid facility that produces and supplies its cabs (Spain).

Both plants have been completely renewed and reorganised to ensure that they operate at the highest levels of World Class Manufacturing.

New Stralis TCO2 Champions

The New Stralis has been designed to offer the best solution for regional and short-range missions, including transport of hazardous goods, where it maintains the unique advantage given by the exclusive HI-SCR after-treatment system.

A specific version, the New Stralis XP, was developed for the demands of the international long-haul transport business, and is packed with innovative fuel-saving features and new services to maximize uptime and fuel efficiency.

The revolutionary New Stralis NP, which runs on CNG and LNG, is the most sustainable international transport truck ever and a real breakthrough in the gas truck industry. It is the only natural gas truck to offer the power rating, comfort, transmission technology and fuel autonomy to suit long-distance haulage missions.

Pierre Lahutte, Iveco Brand President, commented: “The New Stralis has been designed to lower the TCO and CO2 of transporters as well providing the very best reliability to its owners. We have added for the customer a new set of services to reduce their TCO. The long-range freight hauling business will drive the whole commercial vehicle market in the years to come: Stralis has all that is needed to lead such a completely reshaped market with the TCO2 Champion Stralis XP, a truck at the leading edge of technology, and the game changer Stralis NP, the first and only gas truck that has demonstrated it can be used in long-haul missions. We are about to open new frontiers in sustainable transport, and we will make it in partnership with our customers.”

A new, unique mission-driven approach: product and TCO-reducing services

On the product, Iveco has renewed and upgraded all the main technical sub-systems: the New Stralis features a completely redesigned driveline, a new electrical and electronic architecture, the new best-in-class transmission, rear axle and a rear suspension, and introduces the latest-generation GPS predictive functions and new features to enhance fuel economy and sustainability. In addition, Iveco has developed a new generation of services aimed at reducing the TCO of each model, which represent an exclusive and distinctive element of the New Stralis offer.
