Iveco renewed for the fourth consecutive year, the partnership with the MotoGP, the main international motorcycling championship, as Trucks & Commercial Vehicles Supplier.
The new season will begin Sunday, April 7 with the spectacular night race to be held on the Losail International Circuit near Doha, the capital of Qatar and will end at the Valencia circuit in Spain, in November. Eighteen total races that will take place in thirteen countries around the world on four continents.
Like last year, Iveco will be Title Sponsor of the race in Assen, which will take place June 29, 2013 at the Dutch circuit, which will be called IVECO TT Assen 2013. The company also will crown the competition scheduled for Sept. 29 on the track of the Spanish circuit of Aragon, which will be called IVECO Grand Prix de Aragon.
On both circuits, the Iveco brand will be visible across the track, in particular, on two turns of the track on the start straight and on the deck of the grid. Also during this year's MotoGP, Iveco give critical support to the competition by providing Dorna Sports, the Spanish company which handles the organization of the Moto World, Daily four and thirteen new Stralis Hi-Way, Iveco heavy vehicles flagship of the range. The Iveco vehicles, known for reliability and safety, will be used throughout the season for the transport of equipment, materials and equipment, office and workshop furniture along the entire route of the competition.
Iveco has also renewed for the 2013 season partnership with the
Yamaha Factory Racing Team. The team of the reigning world champion, Spaniard Jorge Lorenzo, Valentino Rossi this year found that just with Yamaha in the past has won four world titles.
Iveco will provide the team seven new Stralis, including four with walk-in Hi-Way, and a Daily van for the transport of bikes, workshops, office furniture and Yamaha service personnel.
