Iveco the Dakar with Radio Deejay: all updates on dakar.iveco.com

Iveco will compete in the Dakar 2013, the most famous rally in the world, with five vehicles that, like last year, will challenge the most rugged terrain of South America. In the opposite from that of the previous edition, which runs from Peru to Chile through Argentina, an Iveco Powerstar and four new Iveco Trakker defend the success achieved in 2012, in a race as exciting as extreme.

At the start of the rally and for the entire duration of the race, Iveco will trigger a collaboration with Radio Deejay, popular national radio station, and with Deejay TV, through the project "You are in the Dakar." Two testimonial, the blogger Gross and DJ Vic, tell the competition and the harmony of the team De Rooy Iveco Petronas through their direct voice.

Gross, journalist and blogger passionate about extreme sports, follow, step by step, Team De Rooy Iveco and Miki Biasion pilots, Gerard De Rooy, Hans Stacey, René Kuipers and Jo Adua, becoming the official voice on the competition and sending updates newspapers to be published on the site dakar.iveco.com. At his side, a filmmaker will produce a documentary on the Dakar Iveco vehicles and their drivers, with multimedia content that will tell the backstage from the bivouacs.

In addition, for two weeks, January 7 to 18, Vic, one of the speakers of Radio Deejay, will tell the listeners the most compelling anecdotes drawn from the content posted by Gross. At the end of the rally, the images collected in the preparatory phase will be aired in January on the digital channel Deejay TV: January 21 to 25 will be two appointments on Occupy Deejay, one of the most watched programs of the schedule.

The site dakar.iveco.com, now online, it will be updated daily with the results of races and the performance of the Team Iveco, with contributions sent multimedia directly from South America.

The site is divided into two sections, reflecting the double soul of the New Trakker, reliable vehicle is on daily missions in cavacantiere, and in extreme situations, such as the Dakar. The first section tells the Trakker product, its technical characteristics and its strengths. The second is devoted entirely to the Dakar, with the countdown of days before departure, the presentation of all the stages and an area dedicated to Team with a brief biography of the pilots.

Also this year the Dakar is a great opportunity for Iveco test the reliability of its vehicles in action. Each vehicle will be put to the test during the journey through three major countries of South America, for a total of about 8,000 km in extreme situations.
