A wider range than ever

Starting with a total mass of 6.0 t permissible, new Eurocargo is a choice between the cab and the cab MLC MLL. Range of engines: the power of always

The new Eurocargo retains the renowned Tector engine range - produced by Fiat Powertran Technologies in the family Nef which has already amply demonstrated his quality of performance, fuel economy and reliability - in versions with 4-cylinder 3.9 liter with power 140, 160 and 180 hp versions and 6-cylinder 5.9 liter with outputs of 220, 250, 280 and 300 horses.
All Tector engines are available in Euro 5 version, already in line with the required standards regarding emissions by European legislation which will come into force in 2009.
Specific variants of the engine are available for special "rescue missions" in which the possibility of reducing the torque is not applicable. These variants of the models for the "rescue missions" are available as special orders in accordance with the European Directive 2006/51/EC.

New Changes

In addition to the ZF 5-speed gearbox already available in the previous range, the new model offers ZF 6 or 9 speeds, all equipped with the Servoshift assistance.
ZF 6-speed versions are also available with a system of clutch operation and a change completely automated. The automated Eurotronic produced by ZF are equipped with advanced software that optimizes fuel consumption by engaging gears at the ideal time. In addition, all ZF transmissions use a specific synthetic oil is necessary to replace the gearbox oil only after 300,000 km.

Breaking System

A technologically advanced braking system means safety. The entire range dell'Eurocargo starting from 180 hp versions are equipped with a standard exhaust brake (optional for versions with 140 hp and 160 hp). The engine brake is controlled by the lever on the steering column in one of two modes of automatic application of the brake motor: with the release of the accelerator pedal (ie overrun) or with application of the service brake pedal.
The 6t to 10t models equipped with a hydraulic brake system / tire, tire becomes completely from the 11t models. The braking system has been revised in its components, with more disk thickness and diameter, and with the brake pads with thicker coatings with an increase in volume by 35 percent, thus ensuring the highest driving safety by optimizing maintenance costs.
The installation of the service brake system includes anti-lock brakes (ABS), while the anti-skid system (ASR) allows easier starting from standstill on slippery surfaces or in low grip conditions, thus reducing tire wear. It is also available, for versions pneumatic braking, the electronic stability control (ESP), which provides a selective braking of the wheels to ensure that the directional control and tilt control are optimized under all driving conditions. For standing starts uphill is available with Hill Holder, which, when activated, acts on service brakes are not released for a second time in order to leave the driver's foot to move from brake pedal to that of 'accelerator and thus prevent the vehicle from rolling backwards.
The new Eurocargo has an additional safety feature: it is an audible alert that is triggered when you open the driver's door without having been inserted before the parking brake.


Suspension

The new Eurocargo parabolic leaf springs for the front and rear axles for all versions. They are also available for semi-elliptical suspension toughest tasks across the range and reinforced parabolic springs on models from 15 t and 16 t.
