Light range : the Daily

The compliance with the restrictions of the forthcoming Euro 4 standard requires a considerable reduction of emission levels of NOx and particulates.
Iveco Daily is already currently able to respond to environmental requirements in advance of meeting the regulations to be introduced.
Iveco Daily fact offers a specific version that differs from Euro 3 versions , thanks to the technology EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) in combination with the DPF ( Diesel Particulate Filter) applied to diesel engines.
The EGR ( Exhaust Gas Recirculation) can reduce NOx emissions by lowering the combustion temperature due to the recirculation of a controlled amount of exhaust gas chilled and placed back into the combustion chamber . The system is controlled by the electronic engine management system , via a flow meter of air, for all ranges of speed and load . The combustion temperature is reduced and the formation of NOx remains under control.
The particulate matter is shot down to a minimum thanks to the treatment of the exhaust gases produced by the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter ), known as particulate trap , type of self-healing .
Highly optimized combustion and the use of high-pressure injection at multiple stages , allowing significant fuel savings and the achievement of environmental objectives.

Mid-range : the Eurocargo

Iveco Eurocargo for choosing SCR to meet Euro 4 and Euro 5 directives .
In the first half of 2006 will begin marketing Iveco Eurocargo Euro versions 4 & 5 .
All versions will be equipped with the SCR system , and similarly to the heavy range , will have an optimized Tector engine , a urea tank , a dosing system AdBlue and a catalyst .
The Eurocargo customers will be able to reap the benefits from this technology choice . In addition to a decrease in fuel consumption customers can rely on service intervals unchanged compared to Euro 3 and above will be able to choose immediately between Euro 4 or Euro 5 .
The estimated consumption of AdBlue is around every 20 to 1 liter of diesel.
