IVECO completes the acquisition of Czech truck dealer KOMERSIA AUTO s.r.o. to strengthen its position in the country's utility vehicle and truck market. The transaction has been approved by the Office for the Protection of Competition.

IVECO signed the contract for the acquisition of Czech truck dealer KOMERSIA AUTO s.r.o. in Prague with the aim of further developing its position in the country's utility vehicle and truck market. With this action, IVECO further strengthens its presence in the Czech Republic, where it is a leading local producer of utility vehicles for the domestic and export markets, and an important employer at its bus manufacturing plant in Vysoké Mýto.

KOMERSIA AUTO s.r.o. has been one of the major suppliers of IVECO trucks to the Czech market for almost 25 years. It serves customers in Loděnice u Berouna, Nýřany and, through an independent dealer, in Cheb, providing sales and after-sales support with its team of about 120 trained and qualified employees with the aim of providing the maximal service coverage in its region.. KOMERSIA AUTO, which operates with an annual turnover of 800 million Czech crowns, has imported and sold more than 6,000 new and used IVECO vehicles in the country.

Aleš Konrád, KOMERSIA AUTO s.r.o. Business Manager for the Czech and Slovak Republic, commented: "With the change of ownership we plan to further strengthen the team at KOMERSIA AUTO, extend the scope of the services we offer our customers and further raise the quality of the support we provide, ranging from vehicle sales to financial and assistance services, and enhance the used vehicle sales process. Our plan also involves an overhaul of our premises, including the IVECO Truck Stations workshop, with the aim of delivering superior levels of service to our customers. We want this dealership to become IVECO's flagship in the Czech Republic."
