      What is PlusDrive?

      PlusDrive is a driver-supervised L2++ highly automated driving system developed by Plus. It’s powered by the company’s Level 4 autonomous driving software which is built on large AI models.

      Designed to assist drivers today, PlusDrive makes driving safer, easier and more comfortable.

      It offers the industry’s state-of-the-art perception system and deep learning models to quickly, accurately and safely perceive the vehicle’s surroundings, predict what’s coming next and maneuver the vehicle, all under the supervision of the driver.

      Key Features

      • Advanced Lane Centering

        The steering, braking and throttle control so that the vehicle stays centered in the lane.

      • Dynamic Nudging

        If there is a large vehicle passing on the side or a stopped vehicle on the shoulder, the vehicle will slightly nudge over to be biased in the lane, making room for the large vehicle.

      • Traffic Jam / Highway Assist

        Following the front vehicle with a safe distance and staying within the speed limit. The system adjusts the vehicle’s speed automatically based on the speeds detected of other vehicles. In stop-and-go traffic, the vehicle will come to a full stop as needed.

      • Driver initiated / Suggested Lane Change

        The system can make automated lane changes at the driver’s request. In certain situations, such as when making room for a vehicle in the breakdown lane or a vehicle moving unsafely slower than the legal limit, the system will suggest a lane change.

      • Merge Handling

        The system detects the position and speed of the other vehicles in nearby lanes and can seamlessly merge into the main lanes of the highway.

      • Cut-in/out Handling

        The system predicts the cut-in/out intention and proactively applies braking or releases throttle to maintain a safe separation distance.

      • Operational Design Domain (ODD)

        If it detects that it may depart from where it’s allowed to operate, the system requires the driver to take over.
