Two Iveco employees win “Premio Abravanel”

Two Iveco employees were presented with the Abravanel prize for ‘responsible excellence’ for their commitment to business in the Chinese market, during a ceremony in Brescia last week as part of the 8th International Conference on the theme ‘Brescia 2015: sustainability and competitiveness’.

Stella Chieffo and Lorenzo Maffioli, former employees of the Brescia plant and currently in China as part of the SAIC-Iveco Hongyan joint venture, were chosen as models of young people from Brescia who have invested their personal and professional development in new projects in countries with developing economies. Chieffo and Maffioli form part of the Iveco Business Development & New Market team at SAIC-Iveco Hongyan in Chongqing, China.

The prize was presented by the Italian Minister of Education, Universities and Research, Mariastella Gelmini, for: ‘Proven commitment to advancing a project for business development in new, distant and culturally different markets, which is of strategic importance for both the Fiat Group and the national economy.’
