Iveco is “Crazy 4U” also for the torch of the 23rd Winter Universiade 2007
After taking part in the international road-show promoting the Winter Universiade 2007 in Turin, Iveco is now going to accompany the Torch of Knowledge along the “Ardentemente Tour“ that will leave on Saturday, December 9 from Turin and end up again in the Piedmont city on January 17, 2007 when the Universiade will officially get started.
For the long round trip of the Torch of Knowledge, Iveco will use the Promotional Mobile Unit (IPMU), a hospitality vehicle derived from a specially equipped Stralis Active Space customised with the logo of Universiade 2007. The IPMU will be present in the 18 Italian towns where the torch of Universiade will make a stop to spread the values it represents and as a symbol of union among peoples through sports.
Sports values and passion being intrinsic into Iveco's corporate principles is further confirmed by the company participation in the Winter Universiade 2007, after its official sponsorship to the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Turin.
Iveco considers the Universiade not only an occasion to make its values known internationally, but also a chance to get closer to the university environment, which the Company holds in great esteem. In this frame, it will select a number of students from the involved universities– out of those best fitting the current Iveco requirements - to offer them stages in its offices abroad.
In its talent quest, Iveco is engaged in conducting an increasing number of projects in cooperation with many universities. This cooperation with the academic world takes the form of classroom presentations and lessons held by company managers, Career Days organised with the combined efforts of the university job placement boards, high-level masters and hundreds of one-year stages in the Company.
