Iveco to Grow by 10% in Romania before Access to EU
Presenting the Iveco activities in Romania during the Forum Investment Conference held in Rome on October 30 and 31, 2006, Graham Donald, Sales & Marketing Director East Europe and Far East Area, declared Iveco forecasts a sales volume of 3500 vehicles, which corresponds to a 10% market share increase, at year end.
The Romanian market for commercial vehicles has a leading position in Western Europe, with a growth rate expected to reach about 30% in the short-medium term. Iveco has been operating in this Country for over 15 years. Thanks to ever larger diffusion in the territory, Iveco network presently includes 20 Dealers and 20 Service Centres directly managed by local entrepreneurs.
Further to the completion of preliminary negotiations, access of Romania to the European Union is due in January 2007.
