Iveco is Official Sponsor of the 2013 MotoGP and Yamaha Factory Racing Team

​Iveco is back for the fourth year running as Trucks & Commercial Vehicle Supplier to the MotoGP, renewing its partnership with the premier international motorcycle racing world championship.

The launch of the new competitive season is set for 7 April with an evening race that will be battled out on the Losail International Circuit, located on the outskirts of Doha, the capital of Qatar. The championship will conclude on 10 November in Valencia, Spain. Skilled riders will compete in the eighteen-race series which takes place across thirteen countries, on four continents.

The IVECO TT Assen 2013 circuit title indicates Iveco’s role as Title Sponsor for the Assen circuit, which will be held in the Netherlands on 29 June 2013. The company will reprise its Title Sponsor role on the Aragón circuit in Spain on 29 September 2013. This circuit is officially entitled the Gran Premio IVECO de Aragón.

Iveco will be present throughout the speedway on both the Assen and Aragón circuits, specifically on the first two curves of the racetrack, at the starting line and on the grandstand. In addition to visibility at Assen and Aragón, Iveco will have prominent visibility on the Qatar circuit, with its logo on the first two curves that follow the starting line. It will also be present on the Catalunya circuit in Spain, displaying its logo on one of the track curves and on a deck.

Iveco continues its support of Dorna Sports, the organiser and exclusive commercial rights holder of the MotoGP, for this 2013 edition. The company will supply the Spanish association with four Daily vans and 13 new Stralis Hi-Way trucks, the flagship model for the Iveco heavy range. The Iveco vehicles, which are known for their safety and reliability, will be used throughout the competition season to transport equipment, materials, offices and mobile workshops.

The 2013 season also sees Iveco renew its partnership with the Yamaha Factory Racing Team. The team boasts Spanish teammate Jorge Lorenzo as the current reigning 2012 world champion. This year, Yamaha Factory Racing can also lay claim to Italian racer Valentino Rossi, considered one of the most famous names in professional motorcycle racing, who has won four world championship titles in the past with Yamaha.

Iveco will supply the team with seven new Stralis trucks, four of which are equipped with Hi-Way cabs and one Daily van for the transport of motorcycles, offices, mobile workshops and the Yamaha Factory Racing personnel.
