The 2006 International Bus & Coach Trade Fair (FIAA) was inaugurated yesterday in Madrid. On this occasion Irisbus Iveco, the Iveco company involved in passenger transportation, introduces its newest products also on the Spanish market, focussing the attention on urban and inter-urban vehicles fitted with its cutting-edge technologies, above all in terms of environmental protection.
In its 1220-sq m stand, Irisbus Iveco displays 6 urban vehicles with bodywork and 4 chassis. They represent the broad range of company products, all of which fully meet the Euro 4, Euro 5 and EEV Standards.
As regards urban buses, Irisbus introduced Civis. This vehicle characterised by a modern design and forefront technology, is already successfully operational in many European cities. It can be driven by a person or an automatic driving system can be used basing on optical guidance. Furthermore, for urban passenger transport two versions of CNG powered CityClass and one version of diesel CityClass are on display.
Irisbus Iveco offers a wide range of products also for intercity missions. This category is represented by four vehicles that avail of the latest technologies, namely three EuroRider Euro 5 and a MidiRider Euro 4. The EuroRider range is very important for the Spanish market and firmly holds a leading position in this segment. MidiRider can be used for urban transport, as a school bus, a line bus or a long-distance coach for tourist service.
Iveco
