Iveco is continuing its support for Cus Torino by promoting “Polytechnic Sports Day” to encourage participation in sports both in and outside the university. Sports Day will also be the perfect opportunity to present the Iveco CUS Torino Rugby team together with all the athletes taking part in the Agon project for the 2008/2009 season.

Iveco’s involvement with Cus began in March with the start-up of the Agon project, an initiative designed to attract students and athletes from leading European universities to compete in sporting events in Turin during the course of the 2008/2009 academic year. The students involved will also have a chance to learn more about Iveco thanks to a number of work placements offered by the company.

“Polytechnic Sports Day” will provide a great opportunity to try out various sports as well as a chance to meet Cus athletes. Visitors to the event will be able to learn about a quite different aspect of sport by attending a workshop entitled “IVECO Brand Repositioning” held by Alessandro Cicchetti, Director of Global Marketing at Iveco. The workshop will deal with themes related to the repositioning of the brand and will focus on the company’s sponsorship of the All Blacks.

The event will have a highly original “godmother” in the form of the new Campagnola, the latest addition to the Iveco range. The Campagnola will be on display in the courtyard of the Polytechnic.
