Iveco is Official Sponsor of the Argentinean Football Championships
Iveco is the new Official Sponsor of Argentinean first division football in 2010.
This important agreement was signed recently by the Prime Minister during a ceremony that took place in the Argentinean National Training Centre at Ezeiza, near Buenos Aires.
The sponsorship agreement will enable Iveco to associate its name with the tournament and, since in 2010 200 years of the independence of Argentina will be celebrated, it will be called "Torneo Iveco do Bicentenario."
In all 320 games will be played that, following the Government’s intervention forcing non codified broadcasting of the matches, also thanks to this sponsorship, will be broadcast by public television Channel 7. The visibility of Iveco will be ensured, among other things, from promotional videos in both opening and closing matches, and during the comments and slow-motion replays.
This sponsorship is testament of the commitment of Iveco in Argentina, the only national manufacturer of commercial vehicles with continuous production over the last 40 years.
The partnership with the world of Argentinean football is once again the company’s link with the world of sport together with its strong international vocation. Iveco is already an official sponsor of the All Blacks, the world famous New Zealand rugby team's, official supplier of the Scuderia Ferrari and official sponsor of the Fiat Yamaha Team.
This means of communication, aligning its corporate image with events and personalities from the world of sport at the highest level, represents for Iveco not only media exposure at a world level but, above all, the possibility to align the brand with the strong sporting emotions that, at times, involve an entire nation.
In Argentina the football championship, with its strong following, is a significant emotional investment and a strong source of national pride to which Iveco is pleased to make a contribution.
