Professional kiteboarder Núria Gomà i Lleonart keeps on travelling aboard her Daily 4x4
A completely new design for her van turning into a Tigrotto, a Daily 4x4 Special Edition inspired by a historic IVECO vehicle from the 50s and 60s.
After travelling 25,000 km across Europe last summer aboard her personalized Daily 4x4 van, professional Spanish kiteboarder Núria is embarking on a new lifetime adventure with her family in the Americas.
A new IVECO Daily Van Life Adventure, the Núria Gomà i Lleonart’s roadtrip powered by IVECO, has just started.
After travelling across Europe in her completely customized Daily van 4x4 last summer, the Spanish professional kiteboarder - who tells her family travelling adventures on Instagram (@familyvanexpedition 78k followers) and YouTube (11k subscribers) - is undertaking a new incredible 6-month journey with her family in the Americas.
To embrace the new adventure, her faithful travel companion has adopted a new look and has been customized as a Tigrotto, a special edition of a Daily 4x4 - presented at IAA last September 2022 - inspired by the iconic vehicle produced from 1957 to 1972 by OM-Officine Meccaniche, one of IVECO's historic brands, at the Brescia plant.
The journey of a lifetime in Central and North America chasing the wind and getting lost in natural beauty spots
Following the warm weather, Nuria and her family have just crossed the Mexican border in Tijuana and headed South to Baja California. They will stay for a couple of months, following the wind forecasts, enjoying the sun and some of best kite spots in North America – including those only accessible with a 4x4 vehicle. In addition to kiteboarding, they hope for sightings of grey whales, killer whales and shark whales. After Baja, the Daily 4x4 will drive them North, back to the USA, where they will visit some of the most impressive Natural Parks including Yosemite, Yellowstone, Sequoia, and Grand Canyon.
A long journey to explore the natural wonders of Central and North America has just begun for Nuria and her family, driving safely and comfortably aboard the fearless Daily 4x4. This true off-road vehicle ensures versatility, performance, liveability even on slopes and roads off the beaten track.
Daily 4x4: a vintage look and a modern soul
The Tigrotto look of Nuria’s van gives the Daily 4x4 even more attitude, accentuating its off-roading vocation. IVECO adapted the bumper and the grille and reproduced on the vehicle the iconic two-tone bodywork, the red colour of the body-on-frame chassis – a hallmark of the original IVECO production – and the body-coloured dashboard with vintage touches.
The Daily 4x4 has exceptional crossing capabilities, thanks to its 3.0-litre, 180 hp Euro VI engine, combined with the Hi-Matic automatic transmission with 16 forward gears and 2 reverse gears. The Daily 4x4 is also available with manual transmission with 12 forward speeds and 2 reverse speeds. It is equipped with advanced safety systems, such as disc brakes with ABS (anti-lock braking system) and ESP (electronic stability program). The Daily 4X4 range offers vans in 5.5 and 7 t GVW versions, with a payload of up to 4.3 t. In addition, the Daily can be fitted out as a Van on versions from 3.5 to 7 t, with loading volumes of up to 19.6 m3. Its wide range of engines offers powers up to 210 hp.
