Stralis: a heavyweight - also in costruction

The knight of Iveco’s heavy range, Stralis serves the construction industry with its essential on highway role in
moving equipment between sites. The range extends from
4x2 and 6x2 rigid and tractor models to the new 4 axle
rigid chassis offering either 8x2x4 or 8x2x6 axle configurations.
Stralis boasts the class leading Cursor Diesel engine
range comprising the Cursor 8 from 310 to 360 cv (228 to 265 kW), the Cursor 10 at 420 and 450 cv (309 and 330 kW) and the Cursor 13 at 500 and 560 cv (368 and 412 kW), with EEV versions available at most ratings, coupled to a choice of 16 speed manual or the 12 speed Eurotronic automated transmission. Cab availability extends from short and long sleeper cabs to the full width top of the range Active Space luxury cab, a real home from home.
On show at Bauma 2010 is the Stralis AS260S42 Y/PS 6x2
configuration rigid chassis on which is mounted a Meiller
hook lift demountable body system. The Cursor 10 engine
at 420 cv is EEV certified and the rear air suspension
system features a lifting and steering rear axle providing
outstanding traction and manoeuvrability under both laden and unladen conditions.
In the external exhibition space is a Stralis AS320S50 X/
PS 8x2x6 configuration chassis featuring 6 wheel steer
and a single drive axle. This chassis provides exceptional
manoeuvrability under all conditions and is powered by
the Cursor 13 engine at 500 cv, again certified to the EEV
standard.
