Ranging from 7.5 to 18t, Iveco’s medium range contender
is often seen as the typical vehicle for urban distribution.
This misleading view fails to take into account the extremely
capable 4x4 versions and the ex-factory tipper versions, capable of an honest day’s work under the most
arduous of conditions.
Eurocargo boasts the extensive range of 4 and 6 cylinder
Tector engines ranging from 140 to 300 cv (103 to 220
kW), again available certified to the EEV standard. In addition, the new Tector 6 cylinder dedicated natural gas
engine is available in Eurocargo providing exceptional low
emissions, both in terms of pollution and noise. 5, 6 and
9 speed manual transmissions are available as is the new
6 speed Eurotronic automated transmission complete with a range of hydrodynamic 5 speed automatic transmissions.
Eurocargo’s range of short, long sleeper and crew cabs
makes it the perfect work horse for all applications.
Undergoing extended validation testing is the Eurocargo
Diesel / Electric parallel hybrid vehicle, in both 7.5t and 12.0t versions with important international customers. This exciting innovation is ideal for those vehicle operations where a degree of in-town work is involved.
The version on display on the Iveco stand is the 3105 mm
wheelbase 8t tipper with the 177 cv EEV 4 cylinder Tector
engine with a Meiller tipping body with a Palfinger loading
crane mounted on the chassis. Additionally, the vehicle is
carrying a New Holland E9SR mini excavator, representing
avant-garde technology and meeting the EU reduced
noise level requirements.
