A new victory for Stacey and Iveco in the 2015 Dakar

The penultimate stage of the toughest competition in the world took place between the cities of Termas de Río Hondo and Rosario, bringing everyone closer to the finish line Buenos Aires. After yesterday's success, Hans Stacey achieved Iveco's third stage.

It was a very long day for the four categories of the 2015 Dakar: the motorcade is already in the city of Rosario, close to the Buenos Aires finish line.

Once again, the road was very fast and dangerous for smaller vehicles, but the strength, power and endurance of Hans Stacey's and Gerard de Rooy's Iveco Powerstars, allowed the two Dutch pilots to take the podium, like in the previous stage.

Hans Stacey had not won a Dakar stage since the 2013 edition, but today's feat during the Termas de Río Hondo to Rosario special stage was his third victory in 2015—second consecutive. The Dutch pilot of the Iveco Powerstar # 504 did an extraordinary job and beat his compatriots Marcel van Vliet (MAN) and Gerard de Rooy (Iveco Powerstar). This resulted in a completely Dutch podium.

For the second consecutive day, Hans Stacey's and Gerard de Rooy's Iveco Powerstars dominated the competition from start to finish, with one of their trucks always in the lead of the various partials.

The Spanish Pep Vila also concluded a very good stage after placing 9th, 12m47s behind the lead, his best partial result to date. However, these last special stages are not as difficult as those crossed halfway through the Dakar. This means that changes in the ranking are less likely, except in cases of unforeseen situations, such as mechanical failure or accidents.

The last leg of the 2015 Dakar will take place tomorrow between Rosario and Buenos Aires. Only 174 km will be timed for this special stage.
