PageTitleHtml SubTitleHtml TextCenter In 2007 Iveco started on a path of improvement, aiming to make its production system more efficient. The result was a complete transformation of the company's organisation methods, through the adoption of WCM, World Class Manufacturing.WCM is a working method aimed at reducing every kind of waste, rigorously applying operational standards with an innovative approach.WCM bases its their processes on a consistent collection of data that must be constantly monitored through innovative control technologies. The data collected are analysed according to the basic principle of cause and effect, and then further analysed. This way it will be possible to identify the priorities on which to concentrate available resources to obtain the most benefits. This process, known as Cost Deployment, is the key element of WCM, because it guides the use of existing resources and directs activities according to the losses identified.Considering the results obtained with Cost Deployment, the personnel involved, depending on their experience and activities, are divided into work teams, the so-called TECHNICAL PILLARS.For Iveco, the technical pillars of WCM, in addition to the pillar of Cost Deployment, are the following: Most of the Iveco plants are part of this virtuous process by now, and the results obtained are beyond the most optimistic expectations. To date, after the Commercial Vehicles plants (Valladolid, Madrid, Ulm, Suzzara, Brescia), all the other sectors of the company have also become involved: Special Vehicles (ASTRA of Piacenza), Iveco Irisbus (Rorthais, Annonay, Visoke Myto) and Iveco Latin America (Cordoba, Sete Lagoas). Altogether, more than 95% of Iveco's total production. MoreContentHtml
