TextCenterHealth Factory The Health Factory project presents a set of annual initiatives to help to raise awareness about healthcare and health risk prevention for the workforce and is completely free of charge. Iveco sponsored a cardiovascular prevention initiative in 2012 in collaboration with AstraZeneca, a biopharmaceutical organization which is active in more than 100 countries worldwide, and the Regional Association of Outpatient Cardiologists (ARCA), to raise awareness among employees on the proper prevention of cardiovascular disease. The project involved employees from Iveco workplaces in Turin, Suzzara and Rorthais where AstraZeneca conducted specialist checkups during working hours. MoreContentHtml Smoking Cessation The Stop Smoking project is designed to raise awareness and provide training on issues related to smoking as well as offer employee counseling programs to address their actual circumstances. The aim of the project is to offer smoking employees, their families and non-smoking colleagues with the opportunity to improve their personal situation through courses and counseling. The project is consists of two training levels: group counseling sessions and interactive sessions for employees and their families. OHSAS 18001 Certifications Iveco’s commitment to achieving increased improvement through the practical application of Health and Safety Guidelines has seen positive results to date at its operational plants, many of which are OHSAS 18001 certified, the industry standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management. This important result is a testimony to how employee wellbeing, workplace safety and environmental impact are key principles for the management of Iveco’s operational activities. The certification is the outcome of this commitment to ensure that all of the individuals involved are working towards the same objectives, while also being mindful and aware of safety and respect for the environment which for years has formed a solid foundation for all of the company’s production procedures. Iveco’s goal, which is shared with CNH Industrial Group, is to also work to certify its non-manufacturing sites with the 18001 OHSAS. A recent success on this topic occurred in the last quarter of 2012 with the Officine Brennero production workshops and dealerships in Verona and Trento, Italy. Both of these sites received OHSAS 18001 certifications as well as the ISO 14001 Environmental Management certification. Brennero is the first dealership in Italy to obtain both certifications and therefore positions itself as an exemplary sector model by which other non-manufacturing worksites can use as a benchmark for their progress.
