The turbo-charging system contributes decisively to engine performance guaranteeing pick-up on acceleration, greater flexibility and higher torque. It also improves driving comfort eliminating the "turbo-lag": in fact, the engine responds
immediately to the accelerator.
Through the electronic control, the variable geometry turbine adapts the characteristics of the turbo compressor to the engine revolutions: thanks to a moving wall system the volume of exhaust gas is controlled to the impeller, then in turn the turbo compressor adjusts to the volume of the incoming exhaust gas, permitting optimum control of the turbo charging pressure.
