The Hill Holder system is a great help to the driver in hill starts in that it blocks the spontaneous backward movement of the vehicle for a few seconds when the brake pedal is released.
Thereby allowing the driver to perform start operations without backward motion and without clutch slippage. Tyre wear is also reduced. Hill Holder is available in combination with EBS and Eurotronic gearboxes.
