A new journey begins for IVECO with Diego Gastaldi, Italian Paralympic athlete and travel storyteller, who joins as Brand Ambassador, embodying its “Spirito in Movimento” - a vision that goes beyond mobility to embrace freedom, exploration and personal expression.

Diego Gastaldi — traveller, creator, and storyteller — naturally expresses this spirit. His journey reflects the essence of IVECO: Passion, Empowerment, Performance and Italian Excellence, interpreted through a deeply human, contemporary lens.

Starting in June 2026, Diego is embarking on a unique adventure aboard the IVECO Tigrotto 4x4 Special Edition — a vehicle that perfectly represents IVECO’s evolution: rooted in heritage, yet designed for the future.

IVECO Tigrotto 4x4: a van like no other, engineered for freedom
A true off-road icon, the Tigrotto was engineered to handle any terrain, any challenge, any destination.
Diego’s vehicle is a one-of-a-kind creation — designed to face extreme conditions while ensuring total autonomy.
Its decoupled living cell allows maximum flexibility in off-road conditions, while a dual cabin-cell connection ensures seamless usability. Built for independence, it combines large fuel and water capacities with 900W of solar power and 608 Ah of LiFePO₄ batteries, enabling long, self-sufficient journeys beyond conventional limits.

The living unit was conceptualized by Diego himself, then engineered and manufactures with key handcrafted elements developed in Velletri (Piedmont) — an authentic expression of Italian craftsmanship and ingenuity.
At its core stands a unique innovation: a multifunctional rear rack that integrates his motorized handbike, a lifting system for roof access, and an outdoor training space — his personal gym, “Gravity.”
Above it all, a deeply personal dimension: a custom rooftop platform, a place of expression, creativity, and connection.

This project is where two distinct roads come together: Diego’s personal journey of exploration and self-expression, and IVECO’s path towards a new vision of mobility.

On one side, Diego continues to push forward, redefining travel as something deeply personal — shaped by curiosity, creativity, and the freedom to experience the world on his own terms. On the other, IVECO is evolving its role, moving beyond vehicles to enable journeys that are meaningful, adaptable, and human.

Through his travels, Diego gives tangible form to IVECO’s “Spirito in Movimento” — not as an abstract concept, but as a lived experience, made of real places, encounters and moments.

The adventure just started at Iveco Group’s Industrial Village in Turin, alongside the historic Orecchia dealership and workshop — where heritage meets forward momentum.
From here, Diego will begin sharing his journey with the IVECO community, setting the direction for a project that will unfold throughout 2026.
Over the course of the year, his route will take him across Spain, Germany, the Balkans and Turkey, weaving together diverse landscapes, cultures and experiences. Along the way, his journey will intersect with key moments and places from the IVECO world — from major motorsport events, including MotoGP and the European Truck Racing Championship (ETRC), to selected IVECO dealerships and workshops, bringing the brand closer to local communities.

Each stop becomes part of a broader narrative — a journey that connects people, places and stories, reinforcing a simple yet powerful idea: the freedom to choose your direction is what truly moves us forward.
