Iveco has a range of technological solutions that meet a variety of customers' needs and different missions. The range of eco-friendly Iveco products is vast: the company has decided to invest in various technologies, being aware that there is not just one solution for a sustainable transport.

The vehicles equipped with diesel engines, the most common engine adopted today, are those on which Iveco works every day to improve their efficiency and technical features with excellent results. For its vehicles, the company uses FPT Industrial products, a company of the FIAT Industrial Group dedicated to the design, production and sale of power units.

The alternative drives represent the most advanced research field for a sustainable transport. The electric vehicles are well suited to urban use, while hybrid and natural gas vehicles can even be profitably used for medium-distance transport.

Iveco's research on alternative propulsions and drives is therefore complementary to the diesel engines range.

Euro VI

Iveco and FPT Industrial ensure compliance with the upcoming Euro VI standards thanks to exclusive SCR Only technology, introduced to the two new ranges of Cursor and Tector engines for heavy-weight commercial vehicles and buses.

The new engines, equipped with FPT Industrial's SCR Only technology, are characterised by optimised systems for combustion and exhaust gas
after-treatment. This allows Iveco to keep its leading position in the field of fuel consumption and improve the respect for the environment of its products. This result was achieved thanks to a highly efficient control technology, patented by FPT Industrial, which makes it possible to obtain an extremely high efficiency in the conversion of NOx emissions (over 95% compared with the 80-85% of the best competitors).
