Iveco is celebrating its 40th anniversary – an important milestone for a major company that has shaped the history of global commercial transport.

​The company launched its challenge to the market in 1975, when it was formed from the union of five firms with more than 150 years of experience in designing and making manufacturing industrial vehicles: Magirus-Deutz, Fiat, Lancia, Unic and OM.
Through acquisitions, alliances and international joint ventures, Iveco steps is among the highest ranks of the world’s main players in road transportation.

This means becoming a group with a solid know-how, that can best express technological innovation and affirm itself as far as production and business in the most important industrialised markets and emerging markets alike. Today Iveco has production plants in Europe, China, Australia, Brazil and Africa and has business facilities in over 160 countries.

There are many goals, which, thanks to continuous technological innovation, Iveco has achieved many success over the years. Among them the award of International Truck of the Year in 2013 with Stralis and International Van of the Year in 2015 with Daily.Forty years of success, 150 years of working hand-in-hand with customers and distributors, of high performance, of vehicles that have become the very protagonists of roads all over the world .
