New original parts warehouse opens in Czech Republic
A new warehouse opened today in Vysoke Myto, in the Czech Republic, tasked with supplying the central and eastern European markets with Iveco original parts both for commercial vehicles and buses.

The site will be fully integrated with the Iveco virtual warehouse, which forms the hub of a centralised network linking five other European locations: Turin, Madrid, Paris, Manchester and Ulm.

Replacement parts for commercial vehicles will be rapidly distributed throughout central and eastern Europe directly from Vysoke Myto, while for buses produced at the Irisbus plant in Vysoke Myto (Arway and Crossway series), parts may be ordered and assigned in real time to any European dealer.

“The reason we chose this location was to reinforce Iveco’s presence in a booming area which was in need of a dedicated parts warehouse,” underlined Enzo Gioachin, Senior Vice President Iveco Customer Service. “Thanks to the virtual warehouse, parts can be dispatched quickly to all markets, ensuring better service for the end customer. The opening of this new, state-of-the-art structure also provides a significant platform to support the further growth of Iveco in countries such as the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Romania.”

The new logistics site will be overseen by a team of 15 specialists from Supply Chain Customer Service, all of whom are trained to coordinate operations with the Iveco virtual warehouse. The facility took only a short time to construct and occupies a total area of 15,000m2. Capable of processing of over one million order lines annually, it will be able to supply 150 dealers with over 25,000 different parts.

Moreover, the new parts warehouse will enable Iveco to source more replacement parts from local suppliers. The area’s strong automotive tradition makes it an ideal place to develop purchasing and locate new suppliers.
