Iveco set to participate at Bauma 2013

Iveco will display vehicles representing its full range of off-road transport offerings at the 30th edition of the Bauma 2013 international trade fair. Bauma is one of the world’s largest trade fairs dedicated to construction and mining machinery, vehicles, equipment and materials. The fair will take place in Munich from 15-21 April. The Iveco exhibition stand will be located within a 2,500 square-metre exhibition area that allows visitors the opportunity to see a complete range of vehicles from Fiat Industrial. Alongside Iveco are the New Holland Construction and FPT Industrial
presentation stands providing further testimony to the advanced technological solutions Fiat Industrial Group offers professionals in the construction and mining industries.

Vehicles on display

A full spectrum of Iveco off-road vehicles will be exhibited from small vans to 18-wheeler cargo trucks, mini-excavation trucks and 60-tonne excavation trucks. Each vehicle establishes its advantages on the worksite from cabin
comfort to ergonomics, flexible solutions and their ability to navigate onrough and uneven terrain. Solutions from Astra respond to the most extreme on-road and off-road demands.
Demonstrating Iveco’s heavy and medium range offering at Bauma 2013 are: the New Trakker AT 400 T 45 WT/P tractor-trailer with its completely renewed cabin, a vehicle which is ideal for both off-road and highway missions; the New Stralis Hi-Way, recognised as Truck of the Year 2013,
in a Euro VI AS 440S50 T/P tractor version; the Eurocargo in a 75 “E” tractor version and an 80 “E” rig version; the new Astra Dumper HHD9 8x6 configured for the mining sector and an new Astra Dumper ADT 30m, which is characterised for its robust build and is ideal for tasks on large construction sites and open-air excavation as well as on difficult terrains.
The flexible Daily vehicle will be displayed on behalf of the light range, in the form of the 55S17 DW-wheel drive, gearbox Sonntag version with various options for customised transport solutions such as separate containers.

Technologies at work

All of the machines on display are equipped with engines developed by FPT Industrial, which are highly efficient in terms of consumption and reduced emissions. Both the New Trakker and the New Stralis Hi-Way feature HI-eSCR technology, which functions without the use of EGR
(exhaust gas recirculation) and has a range of benefits when used on offroad quarry sites where engines face difficult tasks such as those requiring a higher number of engine revolutions.
