New Daily: now available with two new engines
Iveco, a company of Fiat Industrial Group, is further enhancing its light commercial vehicle range with the addition of two New Daily models, completing the line-up which was internationally launched at the Fiat Industrial Village, Turin, in September 2011.

The New Daily will now feature a version with a 2.3 litre, Euro 5, 146 hp engine and another with a 3 litre 146 hp EEV engine.

The 2.3 litre, Euro 5, 146 hp with 350 Nm torque engine, is equipped with a new variable geometry turbocharger and the exclusive Multijet II technology,  guaranteeing maximum efficiency. All of the 2.3 litre Euro 5 engines (106, 126 and 146 hp) are available with the new 6-speed gearbox, optimised to exploit the available engine torque in order to reduce fuel consumption.

The second engine, the 3 litre, EEV, 146 hp develops 370 Nm torque with a variable geometry turbo and completes the range of vehicles that require heavy duty emissions engines due to their high tare weight.

In addition to these features, New Daily drivers can enhance their driving style thanks to the introduction of innovative technologies including the Start&Stop function and the GSI (Gear Shift Indicator) system.

The Start&Stop function, which is available as an option in combination with the new 6-speed gearbox and 2.3 litre engine, switches off the engine when the vehicle stops in neutral and automatically restarts when the vehicle is put into gear, offering significant fuel savings during city driving. The GSI (Gear Shift Indicator) system, supplied as standard with the new 6-speed gearbox, suggests to the driver the best gear to be in to obtain a driving style which assures the lowest possible fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

Combining the advantages offered by the new 2.3 litre, 146 hp engine, the new 6-speed gearbox and the Start&Stop function over a mixed route, New Daily can achieve up to a 10% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to the previous model. This fuel saving is even higher on city routes, where the benefits offered by the Start&Stop and Gear Shift Indicator functions are greater.

Another new feature is alloy wheels, which are now available on all New Daily models with single wheels.
In Spain, the New Daily was recently awarded the title of "Light Commercial Vehicle of the Year" by a jury comprising transport professionals, journalists and technicians for the Spanish magazine Transporte 3. This important recognition joins another two European awards the vehicle has earned since its international debut in September 2011: the “European Transport Prize” for innovation in Spain and the "European Transport Sustainability Prize" in Germany for the electric version of the New Daily.
