Iveco at Samoter 2011

Iveco, a Fiat Industrial Group company, will be at the 28th edition of Samoter, the International Triennial Earth-Moving and Construction Machine Exhibition, at Fiera di Verona from 2nd to 6th March 2011 with a wide range of models on show.

The Iveco stand in Hall 2 is part of the 4,800 square metre area entirely devoted to the Fiat Industrial Group, the company established by the division of Fiat S.p.A. and one of the most important corporations in the capital goods sector worldwide. The Group makes and markets industrial on-road and off-road vehicles, farming machines, fire engines, city buses and coaches.

The new Fiat Industrial logo will be sported for the first time in an international show in Verona by its three sectors - Iveco, CNH and FPT Industrial - representing the Iveco, Astra, Case, New Holland and FPT Industrial brands.

The Iveco stand is entirely devoted to professional off-roaders, in particular the Trakker, designed to work on all types of terrain.
Iveco is one of the few commercial vehicle manufacturers offering a full range of products for quarries and construction sites with various configurations and loading capacities. Along with its Astra brand, Iveco has a large portfolio of vehicles with GVM (gross vehicle mass) from 3.5 to 90 t, with payload capacities up to 50 t and even more taking road trains into account. Over 400 models, each with different versions, considerably expand the offering and guarantee the most suitable vehicles for each specific mission.

The star of the Iveco stand at Samoter 2011 will be the Trakker. On display are an ADN720T50T/P 6x4 tractor version with 16 speed automated transmission and ADN380T45W 6x6 and ADN410T45 8x4 chassis cab versions, both with a 16 speed manual transmission. The range will be completed by the Trakker AD380T45W, which took part in the Overland 12 expedition, equipped with a mobile workshop body realised by the body builder Sperotto.

An ECODAILY 4x4, 55S17W version, equipped with an Onnicar tipper body and a 35S17W 4x4 with crew cab chassis will be displayed in the Iveco area next to the Trakker. An ECODAILY 35C14K “Tipper” 4x2 fitted with a tipper body made by the bodybuilder Cantoni will be on show at the CNH stand.
The comprehensive medium Eurocargo range is represented in Verona by the rugged ML150E25WS 4x4.

Finally, five Astra brand models will be exhibited at Samoter 2011: an ADT 6x6 dumper (with payload capacity up to 36 t), an RD 40 4x2 rigid dumper and two Astra HD8 4 axle models, one equipped with a concrete mixer and one chassis cab version, and finally an Astra HHD8 6x6 tractor, with a GCM of up to 120 t, suitable for the most demanding exceptional load missions.

Fiat Industrial Group will be setting up a large dynamic test demonstration area at Samoter and a more demanding proving area, entirely devoted to Astra, three kilometres away from the exhibition hall. A shuttle bus service will be provided.

These two areas will be entirely devoted to demonstrating the excellent features in extreme conditions of these off-road vehicles that have become the byword for technological excellence and cost-effective running.
