Verona, May 5th 2005
At the Samoter, the international Salon of earth moving machinery, for site work and for the building industry, currently being held in Verona, the jury of the “Technical novelties” competition has awarded the “Novelty prize” to the Astra RD32 rigid dumper. This is the reason for their choice: “The vehicle is an innovation as a whole, thanks to the integration and adoption of advanced technologies and best practices in many components adopted for the assembly of the machine”.
The Technical Novelties competition, reserved to manufacturers displaying their production at the Salon, is one of the most qualified and selective “show cases” for technical and technological evolution. The international jury is composed of representatives of the main reference associations in the sector.
As well as the award-winning dumper (see photo), on the Astra stand (pavilion 10) visitors can see the new series of HD8 site chassis in various configurations and the ADT40 articulated dumper.
The Astra Sivi vehicle for towing exceptional loads, produced on the IvecoTrakker chassis, is shown on the Iveco stand. Other vehicles in the HD8 series are on display on the stands of various producers.
On the test field, linked to the stand by a shuttle bus, visitors can try out the vehicles on a really demanding off-road course.
