"Don Bosco nel Mondo" Foundation in Ethiopia has chosen a Eurocargo truck

An Iveco Eurocargo ML100E18 truck has been recently delivered to the Don Bosco Foundation in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), to be used for distributing drinking water to numerous villages.

The Opera Don Bosco nel Mondo Foundation chose this Iveco, vehicle equipped with a tank capacity of 5,000 litres, to quench the thirst of more than 5 thousand people per day in the villages of the Diocese in Ethiopia, an area which is home to 600 thousand inhabitants. The vehicle will travel between 50 and 100 km daily, reaching areas in which the Foundation already works, building irrigation systems and constructing wells from which to extract drinking water.

Iveco already has a presence in Ethiopia with TechPro2, the professional certification programme which aims to place young people in jobs, launched in collaboration with the Don Bosco Order of the Salesians at the Bosco Children Centre. The programme now works in partnership with more than 50 schools in Argentina, Brazil, China, Ethiopia, India, Italy, Poland, Spain, the Philippines, Uruguay and South Africa.

This project represents one of the many social and sustainability initiatives taken on by Iveco, a CNH Industrial brand, and demonstrates the Group's strong commitment to supporting and promoting important causes both globally and in the communities in which it operates.
