Jerry Moher, a builder from Bagshot in Surrey, has won a brand new Iveco Daily panel van after entering a competition in a national newspaper. The competition was organised by Iveco to mark the launch of its new Daily light commercial vehicle range in the UK.
The delivery of the new 3.5 tonner comes at the perfect time for Jerry, whose 10 year old Ford Transit has broken-down and been off-the-road for seven weeks.
“Winning the Iveco Daily means I don’t have to save up to buy a new van, and it marks an end of having to get a lift to work with a colleague,” says Jerry, who won the vehicle after entering a competition in the Daily Star.
“I’ve only been driving the Daily for a couple of days but it has already proven to be the perfect builder’s mate, with plenty of storage space for all my tools and equipment,” he adds.
Like all models in Iveco’s new light commercial vehicle range, the Daily 35S12 benefits from a host of new features including styling by famed Italian designer Guigiaro, a new Euro 4 engine offering generous power and torque, uprated braking systems and extensive safety features to further improve the driving experience.
The vehicle was collected from Guildford-based Iveco distributor Grays Truck & Van, which supplies the full Daily product line-up including van, semi-window van, chassis cab, chassis crew cab and MPV versions.
The Daily 35S12 offers a 12 m³ load carrying capacity; one of eight different load space volumes available from 7 to 17.2 m³. It is also one of over 2,500 different models in the Daily line-up, with gross vehicle weights from 3.2 to 6.5 tonnes, ensuring there is a suitable vehicle for the needs of every van or light truck operator.
