Bromsgrove-based independent Rolls-Royce and Bentley specialists, RR&B Garages, has purchased its first new commercial vehicle – an Iveco Eurocargo 100E18 – for operation transporting prestige cars across the UK.
As one of the leading Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor car specialists, the truck will be used to transport vehicles ranging from the Edwardian-era Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost through to the very latest Bentley Arnage T.
The Eurocargo has been supplied by local Iveco distributor Guest Trucks and represents the first new commercial vehicle purchased by RR&B Garages. It replaces a 1994 Iveco Ford Cargo acquired through the acquisition of an authorised Bentley repairer last year.
“When the Cargo joined our fleet the odometer read just over 900,000 km and we’ve managed to bring that to almost 1,000,000 km,” says Ian Pinder, Managing Director of RR&B Garages.
“You really can’t argue with reliability on that scale, which is one of the reasons we chose to replace the vehicle with a brand new Eurocargo,” he adds.
The Eurocargo is fitted with a slideback curtainside body and benefits from a comprehensive specification which includes Trakker, central locking, air-conditioning and a full air-deflector kit to improve aerodynamics.
The Eurocargo 100E18 is popular for car recovery and transport operations and is powered by a 5.9 litre tector engine, capable of producing up to 182 hp at 2,700 rev/min and 570 Nm of torque between 1,200 and 2,100 rev/min, driven through a six speed synchromesh gearbox.
It represents just one model in the Eurocargo range which can be mission-matched to all types of applications, with over 3,000 possible configurations available from the 300 basic models.
