Iveco has delivered two high specification Stralis Active Space tractor units to the Ferrari Challenge Dealer Team GB, in its prestigious role as the official supplier of commercial vehicles to Ferrari.
The two Stralis AS440S48T/P’s are used to transport a fleet of Ferrari F430 Challenge racing cars to rounds of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli championship – the world’s most exclusive single-make racing series. Each car has been developed by Ferrari from the award-winning F430 road car and delivers blistering performance using technology developed directly by Ferrari’s own Formula 1 team.
The Ferrari Challenge Dealer Team GB is a collaboration of three of the UK’s official Ferrari dealers which along with Ferrari GB have created a championship winning race team ready to offer Ferrari clients the opportunity to take the chequered flag in the European Championship.
Finished in a distinctive Maranello Red livery, the two Stralis tractors are based at the team’s headquarters at Silverstone and throughout each season will visit famous motor racing circuits in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
Both Stralis tractors are fitted with a 12.9 litre Cursor 13 engine, which delivers up to 480 hp at 1,900 rev/min and a peak torque of 2,200 Nm between 1,000 and 1,530 rev/min, driven through a 12 speed version of the EuroTronic automated gearbox.
