Shropshire-based Pendragon Haulage has added an Iveco Stralis Executive Space to its fleet of 16 commercial vehicles, selected for its striking appearance which makes it suitable for mobile exhibition work.
The Stralis ES440S54TX/P is based on the Active Space (AS) cab and benefits from a high-specification interior and eye-catching exterior, earning the position of flagship of the Iveco range and of the Pendragon fleet.
This latest fleet addition takes on a number of different roles, ranging from operating with a step frame for vehicle recovery on behalf of an insurance firm through to continental trunking and exhibition work, using a fleet of specialised trailers.
Hefin Rees, Director of Pendragon Haulage, says: “Image and appearance is crucial in our business, and the Stralis Executive Space is a fantastic ambassador for the company, especially when working on high profile exhibition contracts. Its versatility at adapting to different work has been excellent, and the driver loves the ‘first class’ treatment inside the cab.”
The Stralis ES’ top-class specification includes two-tone seats in dark grey leather and blue ‘Alcantara’, two-tone leather steering wheel with textured grip, which is adjustable for height and reach, with built-in controls and a centre console in soft-touch satin silver finish.
The interior also includes unique two-tone grey carpet, dashboard with satin silver finish inlays, automatic air conditioning, roll-up sun blinds on the doors and central locking with remote control.
The exterior of the Stralis ES has a premium look too, finished in Leipzig Grey, with distinguishing satin silver finish radiator grille and door handle trim. The premium specification also includes chrome wheel mouldings, metallic black rear view mirror housings, roof mounted air horns, alloy fuel tanks, jet headlight washers and a full set of spot and fog lamps as standard.
Powered by Iveco’s Cursor 13 engine rated at 540 hp, the Stralis ES is expected to cover approximately 100,000 km a year and joins a fleet which has traditionally been solely Volvo, but which now includes a Stralis Active Time 6x2 tractor and a 12 tonne Eurocargo, together with three Daily vans.
