Iveco Prepares Full Range Line-Up For CV Show 2006

Iveco is planning to display a full range of vans and trucks together with products from Irisbus and Iveco Motors / Fiat Powertrain Technologies at the forthcoming CV Show.

Exhibits will be spread across exhibition space totalling 1,000 m², highlighting Iveco’s position as a global company marketing commercial vehicles from 3.2 to 44 tonnes, as well as buses, engines and special products.

A total of four Iveco Daily’s will be on display, with a Daily 35S14 15m3 van and a Daily 35C14 chassis cab, featuring the latest Titan tipper body from Iveco’s Drive Away options programme. Both vehicles are plated at 3.5 tonnes, a sector in which Iveco recorded an impressive six per cent volume increase in 2005, taking nearly ten per cent of the 73,500 vehicle market.

They will be joined by a lightweight Daily 40C17 carbon fibre bodied ambulance, powered by Iveco’s 3.0 litre HPT engine developing 166 hp, which makes the Daily a top contender for demanding blue light applications. Completing the light commercial vehicle line-up will be a Daily 65C17 chassis cab, powered by the same 166 hp engine.

Iveco’s proven Eurocargo line-up, which comprises over 3,000 possible configurations from the 300 basic models, will be represented by a 7.5 and an 18 tonne model. Eurocargo is a truly versatile truck that can be mission-matched to all types of applications, with the 18 tonner on display benefiting from a high roof sleeper cab.

Two Stralis tractor units will also be on display, including an Active Space and an Active Time model; both of which played a key role in helping Iveco achieve an 80 per cent growth in the tractor unit market last year. Each vehicle is fitted with Iveco’s 12-speed EuroTronic gearbox, widely regarded as one of the finest automated gearboxes on the market.

They will be joined by a Trakker, the latest addition to Iveco’s full range line-up, being exhibited as an 8x4 rigid with a day cab. Inside the new Trakker cab, the driver benefits from the same comforts found onboard a road-going Stralis.

The Iveco stand will also feature an Irisbus Daily Start 16-seat minibus, together with a display by Iveco Motors / Fiat Powertrain Technologies – the world's largest manufacturer of diesel engines over 70 hp.
