Iveco UK has announced that David Burke, one of the most experienced executives in the industry, has been appointed to the new position of Product Director.
With a history of over 30 years in the commercial vehicle and automotive sectors, both in the UK and continental Europe, David will lead a team responsible for product planning and development, whilst overseeing the continued evolution of the award-winning Iveco range.
Commenting on his appointment, Chris Thorneycroft-Smith, Managing Director, said: "Sales of Iveco vans and trucks reached an all time high during 2005 and as we continue to grow we need to ensure that we remain committed to providing the market with vehicles ideally suited to UK operations.
“This makes David's appointment so timely, especially as we will be placing an increased emphasis on meeting the individual requirements of customers in an ever-changing market,” he adds.
Prior to joining Iveco, David was Marketing Director with MAN ERF UK and previously held a number of senior positions within Scania and Leyland DAF.
