Iveco, together with the Road Haulage Association, are pleased to announce the third annual Women in Transport Awards.
The scheme, jointly devised and administered by Iveco and the Road Haulage Association, is aimed at raising the profile of women, and the diversity of available careers in what has traditionally been perceived as a male-orientated industry.
Divided into three categories, the awards will cover:
- Administrative Excellence, covering those within the logistics side of the business, regardless of their position within the organisation.
- Operational Excellence, covering those employed in a more ‘hands on’ role. For example drivers/warehouse operatives.
- Owner Operator Excellence, designed to recognise excellence in owner-driver operations.
Open to all women employed within the UK road haulage industry, the Awards will be presented at the Annual Lunch of the Road Haulage Association, on Wednesday 6th October 2004 at London’s Savoy Hotel.
Giuseppe Franchi, Managing Director of Iveco Ltd says: "At Iveco, we are delighted with the success of the previous two years’ awards and are pleased to continue to promote the essential and effective role that women play in the road haulage industry."
